I first met Junior around 1973. Sandra's parents were going on holiday to B'dos and asked my then husband- Gordon and I -to act 'in loco parentis' while they were away! There have been a few occasions in my life when I felt that I was an 'adult!' This was one of those times!

The way I remember this was their parents had not reached the airport before Sandra approached me to tell me that she and Junior wanted to get married and, as I was in 'loco parentis,' they were asking me for my permission to go ahead and get married! I agreed!

 Today, I say 'goodbye' to a friend. Junior took such a liking to me that he and Sandra chose part of my name for their only child. Goodbye my friend, rest in peace. May flights of angels lead you on your way, To Paradise and Heaven's Day. My thoughts are with Sandra, Ria and both family members today. Thinking of you all, Maria
